About this opportunity
CALS, the human rights law centre at the University of the Witwatersrand, hosts interns, volunteers and visiting researchers every year. The Internship Programme is for students and recent graduates and gives exposure to socio-legal research, community paralegal work and public impact litigation. CALS strongly encourages applications from South African and African candidates and candidates from the Global South, and only considers people with a demonstrated interest in social justice. The page gives no fixed intake dates: read the Internship Policy and email internships.cals@wits.ac.za. CALS does not advertise a candidate attorney (articles) intake; its advertised attorney posts are for admitted attorneys.
